1. Broken Bow - A sportsman's paradise with Broken Bow Lake, the Mountain Fork River, Little River and Glover River plus all kinds of hunting including for bear.
2. Kingston - Right on the shores of the most prolific striper lake in the United States. You can always catch something at Lake Texoma.
3. Eufaula - It's the largest lake in the state and has an abundance of crappie and bass.

4. Canton - Friendly people welcome you to Oklahoma's premier walleye lake. Crappie are an unexpected bonus.
5. Miami - Closest large town to the famous Ozarks and to Grand Lake. Besides, it's a nice place to live.
6. Atoka - You can hunt feral hogs, deer and turkey and then go fishing in Oklahoma's number one bass lake, McGee Creek.
7. Tishomingo - Huge flocks of wintering waterfowl call the Tishomingo Wildlife Refuge home in the winter, plus you have winter trout fishing at the Blue River nearby. You might see Blake Shelton or Miranda Lambert in the grocery store.
8. Tulsa - Just because it's so close to so many bodies of water that produce so many fish each year.
9. Guymon - You are in 'pheasant heaven' out here and when you get your limit, go north a short distance and start all over.
10. Woodward - Right in the heart of Oklahoma'a famous quail area and it offers the many facilities a person could want.

1. Medicine Park – Nearby is the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and good hunting for elk, deer, turkey, doves and fair fishing in local small lakes.
2. Broken Bow - Good fishing in both lakes and streams. Hunting also is great for several species.

4. Ardmore - Fishing in Murray, Arbuckle and hunting in the Arbuckles

1. Alva - Some of my finest memories hunting with my dad (Paul Newsom) is near Alva. It's where the big bucks roam.
2. Lamar - Most Oklahomans have never heard of Lamar and I believe that is a good thing. One look from above and you can see that there are hardly no roads leading into this area and that means more wildlife than anywhere in the state.
3. Woodward - The Woodward area is known for some of the greatest upland bird, wild turkey and whitetail deer hunting. Woodward is my choice for the best variety of hunting.
4. Okemah - Halfway between Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The Hunting and fishing opportunities are fantastic..
5. Mangum - The biggest wild turkey I have ever taken in my life came from Mangum.
6. Watonga - This town is perfect to take the family. There are plenty of camping areas including Roman Nose State Park, beautiful scenery and great gove, turkey, wild hog and whitetail hunting.
7. Newkirk - One of my favorites because of the abundance of wildlife. The whitetail deer here are heavier in weight because of all the nutrition surrounding the area.
8. Enid - It seems the pheasant population is growing more each year. You can really have some great ringneck shoots. Enid is home to some of the finest all-around hunting in Oklahoma.
9. Cleo Springs - One of my most memorable hunting leases with my dad was near Cleo Springs. This is where we have taken some of our biggest bucks.
10. Cheyenne - Perfect area to see all sorts of game. In my opinion, it is home to the best public hunting in Oklahoma, the Black Kettle WMA. A short drive to many great hunting and fishing opportunities in western Oklahoma.

1. Carter – Abundance of deer and turkeys. I hunt the area often and always do well with guide Dale Eagon.
2. Cheyenne - Excellent spot for deer and turkeys. A place you can definitely get away from the city lights.
3. Broken Bow - One of the most scenic areas in the state. Great trout fishing in the Lower Mountain Fork River.
4. Canton - A fantastic place to crappie fish and the area is beautiful. Motel owner Donnie Jinkens can set you up with a great fishing trip and dandy accomodations.
5. McBride – Near Lake Texoma's Soldier Creek.A fantastic lake for fishing, boating plus duck and goose hunting. The fish are always biting.
6. Daisy, - Definitely off the beaten path and offers beautiful timbered landscapes and hoards of Eastern turkeys and white-tailed deer.
7. Beaver - Pheasants, mule deer, and whitetails abound.
8. Eufaula - A great lake for catching baskets of crappie and sandbass. The lake is amazing for three species of bass - largemouths, smallmouths, and spotted bass.
9) Waynoka - Landscapes there vary from old west-style buttes to sand dunes. Lots of deer and turkeys as well.
10. Grove - Home of Grand Lake, one of the state's top fisheries.

2. Antlers - Red Slough, Muddy Boggy, Lake Atoka, and Grassy Slough are hot spots for mallards.
3. Oologah - Excellent early season duck hunting if the water level is high.
4. Henryetta/McAlester: - Good duck hunting on all parts of Lake Eufaula from north to south. If you're not doing well at one part of the lake, move to another part.
5. Gore - Home of Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge and lots of geese. Hunters wanting to add to their lanyard jewelry should give this a try.
6. Wagoner - Good hunting on Fort Gibson Lake for divers and odd ducks.
7. Canton - Overlooked hot spot for second season. Hunters will see every kind of duck in the Central Flyway.
8. Lone Wolf - Ducks roost on Foss , Fort Cobb and Altus, and feed in the agricultural areas within that triangle.
9. Ponca City – Home of Kaw Lake where the Wildlife Department periodically does extensive millet planting. Has good numbers of birds in most years.
10. Waurika - Waurika Lake and surrounding areas are good spots for ducks and geese during peak season.
